There I stood, facing
the open window
Feeling the bittersweet
breath of rain on my face
My pulse beats fast like
a railroad train.
I appear calm, but the
worst is yet to come.
My mind is being swallowed
up by the storm.
Eyes as big as saucers
I am paralyzed with
fear, unable to accept it.
My breaths are
countless.
Physical exhaustion is
haunting my body.
I am screaming silently,
am I losing my mind.
I am in torture, when is
this over?
Throwing back my head I
say a quick prayer…
Help me conquer this.
